Cara cares where Canadians go for a quick bite. Cara Operations is one of the largest foodservices companies in Canada. Its dining chains, with a total of more than 1,200 company-owned and franchised locations, encompass several concepts including Harvey's (hamburgers), Swiss Chalet (family dining), plus the casual dining spots Montana's, Kelsey's, and Milestones Grill & Bar. Cara sold its airline catering and logistics segment Cara Airline Solutions to gategroup in 2010. Started in 1883 as The Canadian Railway News Company, the company is controlled by the founding Phelan family.
