Shandong Zhouyuan Seed and Nursery (formerly Pingchuan Pharmaceutical) develops and distributes agricultural seeds in China. The company's offerings include seeds for several proprietary varieties of corn, both for forage and for use in food production, as well as proprietary wheat and cabbage seeds. The seeds are produced for the company by three independent growers and one municipality consisiting of seven towns. The resultant seeds are marketed through third parties in about 20 Chinese provinces and autonomous regions. The former Pingchuan Pharmaceutical exited the pharmaceutical consulting business and changed its name to Shandong Zhouyuan Seed and Nursery in 2007.
